Happy Monday! Today I wanted to share some practice works I've been working on. The past two weeks I've been trying to reconnect with organic ways of drawing. Lately I've been practicing sketching under pressure, basically seeing what I can do in 10-15 mins! Below are some examples of what I was able to do in the provided time. Amongst practicing I've also learned how to edit videos for how I paint my Disney series! Stay tuned for the first art progression of Anastasia. Also don't forget to subscribe to my blog in the column to the right.

Hello Everyone!
Today I wanted to add a update of my Series thus far even without the other two portraits. I've been so distracted lately with side projects and my latest inspiration for my next series I haven't even shot the reference photos for Anastasia. Hopefully by Sunday I will have my reference photo of myself holding the amulet to begin painting. Soon after the completion of Anastasia I will announce my new art series along with visual images. Stay tuned for more art progressions and the completed artwork of Belle. Also don't forget to subscribe to my blog in the column to the right. Hello Everyone,
Happy Details Tuesday! For details Tuesday today I have a follow up of Belle! Last week I finally received the wolf stamp I've been waiting for in the mail! The stamp was somewhat flimsy and had an adhesive because it was an etching stamp. Although it wasn't what I was expecting it got the job done never the less. Overall I'm so thrilled with how the painting turned out especially since I hated where it the mirror concept was going three weeks ago. I tried to follow through with my initial idea of having painted wolves within the mirror. That idea would have been a huge mistake I'm happy I didn't continue with. I'm so excited to begin working on Anastasia today. Hopefully I will also begin recording the painting progress as well. Stay tuned for more art progressions and a photo of all five artworks I've made thus far together. Also don't forget to subscribe to my blog in the column to the right. Hello Doll family,
Today I don't have a flash back Friday image but a quick pencil sketch from last night. Yesterday I finally received my pastel history book in the mail. The art of the pastel by Thea Burns has so far been a great book with insight. After reading a few pages I really got inspired to have a practice drawing using art sticks. Although I own color pencils and art sticks I'm not familiar with there blending capabilities on pastel paper. I think for the most part for the short amount of time I put into it the drawing came out well. I really plan to do more practice drawing to become more precise with proportions. Happy Details Tuesday! For Details Tuesday today I'm adding the beginning creative process of Anastasia. If your just coming to my blog welcome to Hollow Dolls. For those who didn't know Anastasia was added to my series because bought her rights from Fox . The concept photo below shows the color options I decided upon was well as textures I plan to use. The background are colors I chose from highlights within her crown, and choose the vibrant color green from Rasputin's amulet . I choose the colors very carefully for this composition. Although I wanted the painting to reflect Anastasia I still wanted the painting to fit within the series. With the colors being chosen I have to work on concepts for the figure. I estimate I I'll begin the painting next week as well as recording each session. Stay tuned for more art progressions and the completed artwork of Belle.
