This weekend I worked hard to make progress on Jasmine! Essentially everything was my central focus since I haven't been working on this painting everyday. Acrylic isn't my strongest medium to work in but this is always how I begin my figures. I like to make out the shadows ,proportions, and highlights with acrylic, then refine details and make corrections in oil. Although I still have alot of work to do and corrections to make I'm working through this painting rather quickly. Stay tuned for more updates and the beginning of Belle!

Hello everyone, I hope everyone has had a happy Wednesday morning! These last two weeks I been working on gathering color concepts and overall concepts for each princess theme. My original color concept for Belle was too static compared to my other art pieces. After contemplating, tossing and turning I finally settled on a beautiful olive green, light blue and a pale yellow. I've never seen any green as beautiful Winsor and Newton's Pale Olive. It's certainly different than other greens and blue green turquoises I've seen . If you don't have it in your art box defiantly get this color its a must! Belles story will revolve around when she tried to escape from the beast, which lead to her encounter with the wolves of the forest. Since my mini vacation is over now I'll be working very hard to finish both Belle and Jasmine!

Happy glorious Tuesday morning my beautiful bloggers! For details Tuesday today I have an image of my background from my painting based upon Jasmine from Aladdin. With this painting anticipate a lot of purple, gold, black, and red. My ideal thus far revolves around the scene when Princess Jasmine was within an hourglass close to suffocating.
