“Water floats” was inspired by the joy of the summer. When I was a child every summer my mother made my bother and I take swimming lessons. Although I hated swimming because I typically hate all things athletic images of inflatable rings and lap ring dividers are etched in my brain. Every summer memories of summer swimming sessions become ignited but the incoming season of summer. “Water Floats” pays homage to memories I had swimming at Kashmere high school in Houston when I was a child.
