Hello Everyone, welcome back happy throw back Thursday! For TBT today I'm adding a old photo of my pastel collection! Within my collection I have oil and soft pastels from sennelier and Rembrandt! Although I haven't drawn with pastels in a while I plan too soon...
Afternoon progress update! After painting the floral stencil I went art shopping or a wolf stencil. Although I didn't find what I was looking for in the store I bought Gelato sticks from Faber Castell. I've never used this medium but plan to use them for stamping an imprint of the wolf. Stay tuned for the floral stencil result tomorrow.
Hello everyone,
Happy Details Tuesday! I am started painting again last night after a brief hiatus. After completing the painting based upon my father that passed away I didn't feel like painting. Instead of forcing myself to paint I took the time off that I wanted from painting. This month I'm planning on completing my painting based upon Belle. Last night I begin working on the mirror in Belles hand. I painted wolves inside of the mirror, but removed the progress I had completed this morning. The wolf contrasted negatively within the composition and didn't work cohesively as a whole. After talking to my friend today I realized I was overthinking what I was trying to do. He gave me the idea of using a floral stencil and adding the wolf in camouflaged within the floral. Stay tuned for more art progressions on Belle and future paintings to come! Also don't forget to subscribe to my blog in the column to the right. Hello Everyone, Thank you for waiting patiently while I was on a brief hiatus for my fathers funeral. Although I am still saddened by my fathers passing I can take comfort in the fact that I accomplished everything he would have expected of me. His obituary, photography, and of course his portrait was created by me. Shown below I'm providing a glimpse into what we all experienced the day of my fathers funeral. |
