I've finally completed ""Shattered dreams"! After problem solving with color schemes, form choices, and assemblage materials I've created a beautiful surreal work of art based upon what ifs. It' s been a long road with monthly distractions with life but it's finally done. Take a look at the work progression below!Today I am officially ending the princess poll! I've had so much anxiety watching, waiting, and anticipating who might win. But without further adieu, the princess winner is Jasmine! I defiantly did not anticipate her nor Belle being everyones top choices but I am happy nevertheless. I'm so happy that I've decided to painting Belle as well for my dedicated fans. Also to show even more appreciation I will be hosting an artwork giveaway next month (within my blog). So make sure to subscribe to my mailing list (listed on your left) to be informed of the contest beginning date!Artwork from: http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/disney-princess/images/13785276/title/princess-jasmine-wallpaperLately I considered adding one final disney Princess to my art series after Disney's newly added princess Anastasia. My only problem is I can't make a decision on my final princess. I decided the perfect solution to my problem is a poll decided by you my viewers. Just click on your choice below then select vote!!! At the end of the week I will announce the winner!!!! Since I skipped Throw Back Thursday for a work in progress reflection I'll participate in FBF!!!! Today I'm bringing back a drawing I made in 2012 when I still lived in magical city of San Francisco! The drawing below is made of oil pastel and chalk pastel. In 2012 I really became submersed in pastels when I discovered the brand of sennelier pastels. Although I haven't drawn much lately I plan to make more practice drawings such as this one in the near future!
I've officially chosen my last Disney Princess for my Disney pop cultural icon Series. The last and final Princess will be (drum roll please) Anastasia! In honor of Disney buying the rights of Anistasia from Fox she will be the newest and last Disney princess I will add to my series. I think we all can agree from Fox's 1997 movie she clearly had numerous near death experiences! If almost dying by architectural failure, pure assination, and a train wreak she completely earned her spot in my series more than others I've painted. After finishing Cinderella, Ariel, and back tracking to Alice in wonderland I will begin my painting of the newest Disney Princess Anastasia. http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/anastasia/images/32728220/title/anastasia-photo
Today I'm adding the full length update of Shattered Dreams! Remember to check back tomorrow for the unveiling of the final Disney Princess I'll be painting in my art series!
My Tuesday morning is going well as a Tuesday possibly can, full of errands, tying loose ends and of course painting! In honor of Tuesday I wanted to add a Tuesday detail update of "Shattered dreams", My painting based upon Cinderella. Last night I added broken glass to my painting to add to her shoe being broken. I still have to refine the broken edge of the show and add a gloss finish to the shoe for an added pop. The broken glass came out exactly how I wanted it to look, organic, contemporary and an added detail. I anticipate this painting being done within another two weeks depending on other painting obstacles I might encounter. Check back soon for more art progressions, completions, and upcoming shows! Also check out the affordable art tab at the top of this page of course to purchase affordable art thats on sale this week!!!!

The Ethereal World of California, my new art series is based upon the fantasized ideals of California. Being born a native texan, the world of California was glamorous in my eyes. From the Highest glistening skyscrapers to the colorful personalities of its hobos, there was so much energy in California. Within my series I wanted to show the same energy I feel and see everyday living in California.
