For the past three days I've been stressing about side project. I've fought myself during every decision. From concepts ideas, color tones, to cropping in order to make the most effective work of art. As a result of rushing through this project I made a crucial artistic error. At the last minute I decided to add newspapers into the background. Which is only a problem when you move from working in acrylic to oil. Acrylic can never be painted over oil so I had to look for alternatives to add the paper into the background without affecting the oil surface. I begin using cold wax medium which worked slightly, but not as effective as acrylic adhesives. The wax medium is working for now but I will need to use an oil medium to lock in the paper from falling off in the future.
