Tethers of Enlightenment was created by my obsession for books and the pursuit of knowledge. I integrated familiar techniques of my original art style as well as new sculptural techniques. Tethers of Enlightenment was created using a blue background, holographic paper, heavy gel medium, paper collage pages, joint compound, and acrylic spray med. All of the book pages were created using recycled cardboard and magazine pages. Tethers of Enlightenment was created to the same magnitude of empowerment I first experienced in this room while I imagine the untold stories of space.
