Unique Art

”An open book ” features a hand made 3D book created using recycled pages, and reclaimed wood.

Herstory

“An Open Book” was inspired by the daydream state often sparked by reading. The work begins with a literal open book—an invitation into the narrative—where the observer is drawn into an overflowing cascade of 3D pages. As a child, I frequently drifted into daydreams, especially while in school. Rather than focusing on the text in front of me, I imagined myself elsewhere—somewhere far beyond the classroom. This piece captures that experience of slipping from reality into imagination.

The use of recycled pages and reclaimed wood reflects that transition. These elements were intentionally chosen to blur the lines between the physical world and the imagined one—suggesting that the reader is not just reading, but falling into the story itself.
